As a Dipl. Ingenieur (FH) Elektrotechnik I have sound education in electronics and system design.
I work as a presales engineer and solution architect at Red Hat, with focus on building enterprise solutions. As we are known for RHEL Linux I am focused supporting custmomers with main interest in Red Hat’s middle ware portfolio, but also on cloud computing and messaging components.
To have sound knowledge in IT I decided to make an apprenticeship „Kommunikationelektroniker – Informationstechnik“, a professional degree in electronics before going to university and made experiences in building local and wide area networks in a technical sales and project support role in all phases from designing, planning, calculation, negotiation, implementation up to acceptance and invoicing and in all sizes up to preparation of the billing for Munichs new build airport data wiring or doing proposals for mobile carrier initial backbone infrastructure.
During studying electronics I realized that I want to get back to my roots – coding and software development. I had the chance to jump on the evolving Java and JEE train and developed large and complex products for loan calculation and overall fixed interest cashflow management, online portals for large media companies.
With this experience I went into consulting and project management refining the experiences and skills I developed before. I had the chance to refine my knowledge in lean development by practicing and introducing Scrum. This was a helpful tool for successful delivering large offshiring projects.
I call myself an experienced IT professional who know’s his stuff on delivering successful projects from vision to production. My favourite roles in projects is being a responsible architect or project manager.
